The 88
This Southern California-based powerpop act has it all: great songs, production,
and performance. Piano and keyboards are tastefully provided by Adam Merrin,
who applies them all over this soon-to-be-classic album. There are shades of Beatles,
Badfinger, and Jellyfish throughout and for discriminating fans of pop and rock music,
the 88 will go down smooth. Songs like “Bowls” and “Head
Cut Off” stick with you long after the album ends. Plan on hitting
the repeat button and soaking up The 88.
